You’re walking into a post packed with some heavy heat here as Parachute Youth give RÜFÜS the full blown, stargazing, hands-in-the-air, fuck yes it’s 1992 ravey ravey dance treatment.

‘This Summer‘ in itself is a top piece of work, rolling back and forth through the disco-pop/electro-indie genres, finally ending in a dramatic heap of balladry, but this, this is a completely different thing altogether. Flirting with parisian nu-disco, the intro slides effortlessly into a proper Haçienda throwback, as the synths blow up and techno keys drop, there’s nothing left to do but throw one back and stare into the sky.

This is getting a release sometime soon, billed as the ‘This Summer/Selena Remix EP‘. There’s some pretty good dudes on there remixing so it’s of worth to keep an eye on it.
