A personal favourite of mine, new producer talent Monitor 66 (brainchild of that gorgeous ‘Triscuits‘ tune that swept the disco world a couple months back) has a red-hot go at ‘Slow‘ by Swedish dream-team duo MRTN.

Featuring the lovely vocals of Lovisa Negga, constantly reaffirming the need to “take it slow”, Monitor 66 appears to get the message as he churns the original into a slow, bubbling disco breakout, full of sharp hi-hats, signature, warbling synth stabs and this really odd (but equally as impressive) sample that sounds like a choking dog. Brilliant.

Out now on Top Billin, the ‘SLOW Remixes‘ EP features a bunch of up-and-comers and this underground wonder.
